This is the view from the dining room.
We walked along the harbour to the information centre to find out activities we can do in our time here. We booked a tour to see grizzly bears on Sunday and continued to get coffee at Cowpuccino!
We continued walking on the Rushbrook trail. It follows an old railway line around the coast.
Prince Rupert was established around 1910. This is the style of some of the houses.
There are a number of these totem poles around Prince Rupert.
After an afternoon rest we walked Prince Rupert again. There are a number of murals on buildings throughout the town.
This is where we are staying.
We saw this amazing tree.
Today was Indigenous People’s Day and they had a celebration down by the harbour. We listened to a good singer and then watched the blanket dance led by the local indigenous committee.
Today is also the summer solstice on the sun went down at 10.18pm. I raced outside to take some photos of the sun disappearing.
