We decided to climb up Parc du Mont Royal which is the “mountain” in the middle of Montréal.
There were a lot of steps!
This is the view from the Kondiaronk Lookout.
We returned to our room briefly and the set off to the Jardin botanique. We passed the Olympic Park on the way there.
Montréal hosted the Olympics in 1976. Then we entered the gardens.
There was a beautiful crabapple tree in bloom.
We saw some small gums in the aromatic section. They did not look too happy.
There was a whole area planted out with lilacs of all colours and beautiful scents.
I found Costa’s friend hiding in one of the wooden creations for children to play in.
We passed the Chinese garden where they were trimming the pine.
Finally we walked through the range of greenhouses showing bromeliads and orchids,
tropical fruits,

and cacti.
Around 3.30 we moved on to the Planetarium. We watched 3 different shows.
Around 6.00 it was time to go home. We had dinner at a Japanese restaurant where we could watch them making the food.
