Ferry to Vancouver

A slow start to the day with coffee and breakfast in the Modern Cafe across the road. The floors are not flat in the rooms we’ve been in. In fact it made me feel that I was on a ship as I walked from one room to the next. The uneven floors were most disconcerting. This was a picture in the lounge room. I tried to straighten it but it was fastened to the wall on this angle.

Then we packed up and caught a ferry from Departure Bay to Horseshoe Bay on the mainland. As usual there was quite a bit of waiting.

We caught the bus into Vancouver and walked up to our next hotel.

After settling in we walked around the downtown area and found the main train station which we will need on Monday. This is the central square and Art Gallery.

Our hotel is unusual in that it has a central courtyard that all the rooms come off.
