Training from Lyon to Rome

WE HAD TO BE UP EARLY SO DIDN'T sleep so well last night. This was the view from the bathroom at 6.00, in the early sun.

After catching the trolley bus at 8.00, we headed off on the first of our three trains.

We had to change trains at Chambery, striking up a conversation on our almost empty carriage with a stage manager/musician from Ireland who lived in Lyon. Then it was on to the fast train to Milano. Very affectionate, the fast trains.

After 10 hour journey, swapping to an Italo train in Milano, we reached Roma. This is our neighborhood, the Piazza della Republica.

And this the entrance to the Hotel Aberdeen, where we will be for the next few days.

- Posted when we got Google back on track.
