Paris in the Summer

DAY ONE IN PARIS WAS MARKED DOWN FOR FAMILIARISATION. Sort of like the centering room at Mangala.

We started with the Hop On Hop Off bus tour near the Louvre and got off at the Arc de Triomphe.

We checked out the strangely horizontal Egyptian obelisk given to France to curry favor.

Amongst the beautiful stonework, we were struck by the ironwork of the Eiffel Tower.

This pedestrian bridge across the Seine glitters in the sunlight. Yes, it has caught the St Petersburg lock up your love virus. Helped of course by the purveyors of locks lingering longingly ....

The queue was too long to go to the Louvre. And anyway, it was only day one.

Back to the hotel Normandy. We are on the 5th floor of the Normandy Hotel. Don decided to walk down to give the lift a rest.

We went out to see the lights in Paris at night.

The Eiffel Tower at night acts like a lighthouse with a searchlight beaming out.

The Tivoli at night.

Don on the aforesaid pedestrian bridge, where lovers attach engraved locks. Don just stuck out his stomach and refused.

- Posted rather later than we planned.
