Going the Corr's Way

LEFT BEHIND THE MOST GLAM HOTEL room so far, without actually asking what the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' special involved. Up the main roads, avoiding any tolls thanks to the power of NavFree, and rather quickly found ourselves leaving the Republic and into Northern Ireland. What is 50 miles of good road, indeed?

Stopped off in a modest county capital, Dungannon, and wandered around without much hope, but found a tiny 'coffee pot' run by a local man and his Portuguese wife with good espresso even if no soy milk. Still Earl Grey is some compensation ...

Otherwise, thriving agriculture (and at times it certainly smelt that way).

When we passed into Northern Ireland the red, white and blue became very evident.

After checking in at Portrush, on the north coast, we set off for the Giant's Causeway and took a tour with a lovely guide.

We heard the stories about the Irish Giant Finn McCool and his attempted fight with the Scottish Giant Brenandonner from the other side of the causeway.

Pipes!

Beautiful coastlines

Chalk cliffs topped with granite.
