An amazing tour of St Paul's took in the crypt where many famous people are buried, and the mosaics, paintings, carvings and design by Wren, who was not visibly turning in his grave at the restaurant and cafe.
Fine examples of church and state in delicate balance -- well states, really, given the special chapel celebrating the US-UK special relationship behind the high altar ... Forget the end of history, this is petty much the ultimate reality ...
We listened to a girl's choir sing beautifully under the dome. Wonderful acoustics!!
Interestingly, people outnumbered pigeons on the steps.
OK, so the Globe not round, but dodecahedronny. We were able to watch actors rehearsing a performance. Despite warnings, there was no nudity or even rudity, unless you count the seagull.
