Biking and Hiking

THREE DAYS OF UNRELENTING HEAT AND TOIL, discovering things about London we must have missed in 1976. Like Mayfair is a place, while Park Lane is just a street. And frankly, much is already covered in hotels. My whole gaming strategy must change!

Turn your head to the right now. We inhabit one of these beauties - third floor at the front. Great view of the opposite identical buildings but lots of afternoon sun in this London heat wave. [Still can't turn the photos.]

Our room is like a hot box during the afternoon, even though we leave the window open day and night. (No one else seems to.) The lift has been broken the whole time.- It will be fixed tomorrow, but tomorrow never comes!! I twisted my knee moving across the seats in the plane so the 91 steps up and down to our palatial one room executive apartment aggravate it.

We did finally get the bathroom sink fixed, however.

Abandoning buses, we took advantage of Barclay bikes. Not without risks, though. I felt a strange presence behind me as I rode...

... All the way across Kensington Gardens.

We spent the day at the Victoria and Albert museum. These are the three graces!

We were fascinated by the micro mosaics. This large mosaic picture of Rome took 20 years to complete.

Brief visit to natural history museum. Nice to see RioTinto sponsoring the minerals exhibition.

- Posted at Starbucks, just for a change.
