Things you would not find in Melbourne!!!

As we have been walking around near our villa I’ve seen things you would not see at home. Firstly it is apparent that the electrical companies operate differently.

Each place is cabled individually.

Next we have the fuel for the motorbikes that carry people and stuff everywhere.

And if you need your water purified there is a handy booth along the street.

I must admit that my coffee could have been made in Abbotsford.

I thought Anna would approve of this sign for a coffee shop.

A beach with this warning sign.

And a lighthouse with golden elephants on top.

This afternoon we went to Nai Harn beach.

It was very pleasant and we would have gone prepared for swimming if we had known how inviting it was.

An afternoon thunderstorm came in quickly so we ducked into a beachside restaurant for drinks and to wait out the storm.

It blew leaves and twigs into our hair and faces and then the storm arrived.

Next we got our taxi man to drop us off at the Erawan Shrine at the top of a hill overlooking the last couple of islands and Promthep cape

This enormous tree looked like it had been yarn bombed.

There was an altar to Brama an Hindu god surrounded by elephants.

They were all different sizes and made of lots of different materials.

Our final destination and the place where we had dinner was overlooking Rawai beach.

The tide was quite far out when we started our meal.

Once again we had a fantastic meal with the added bonus of live entertainment.

Night came in quickly and so did the tide.

Don had mango and sticky rice for dessert.
