Gold, Gympie and Kenilworth

WE HAD AN ON THE DOT 9.00 AM START for our travel into the Queensland hinterland of Gympie.

Barbara made a new friends but she did not say much. We had scones, jam and cream(from a can) for morning tea and this maggie joined in.

This is the home of Andrew Fisher, the first Queensland Prime Minister, now situated in the Gold Mining and Historical Museum.

They had much of the equipment used by the gold miners of the past.

We had a great guide to show us around.

Then we set off again to Kenilworth where we had lunch at a cheese factory! As we walked up the street we saw this sign. Obviously a well stocked shop.

We had lovely coffee and checked our photos!

Lenore took us through a museum set up by her uncle. We saw the first movie made in Australia shown using the hand run projector.
